Reiki means Universal Life Energy. The practitioner channels this energy. The system we call Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki was rediscovered by a Japanese man called Dr Mikao Usui in 1800, and developed by his successors into the form we use today.

 

Reiki energy works to clear the emotional, mental, physical and spiritual blocks within the person so that healing can take place.

A standard treatment is done on a massage couch, fully clothed in a warm, quiet, gentle environment, which takes 1 - 1¼ hrs. However, Reiki can be done anytime, anywhere, as long as you have at least one hand free. In bed, watching T.V., in the Pub, on your Tea/Lunch break, at home, at work, on holiday, or in the bath!

 

Reiki isn’t just for people; pets love Reiki and respond well to treatment. Ailing pets love to be treated and it can help their old age to be peaceful and pain free.
